Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment that uses a series of clear braces, known as aligners. These aligners are created specifically for your teeth, with each set gradually moving your teeth into the desired position, perfecting your smile.
Invisalign has been known to correct a number of dental problems from under and overbites to overcrowded teeth.
The Invisalign treatment process time can vary depending on how serious the case is. Once you have had a consultation, x-rays, photographs, bite registration and 3D scans will be taken of your teeth ready for the aligners to be made. After Invisalign makes your aligners, your treatment will begin where you will change your aligners every week.
Aligners are made from an elastic thermoplastic material that applies pressure to the teeth to move them into place. You could have between 6 and 40 aligners made for your Invisalign treatment.
Invisalign is a comfortable and confidence boosting alternative to traditional metal braces. They are also more convenient as you are able to remove them while eating and drinking.
We will take you through the Case Assessment, which is a simple set of photos to determine whether you are suitable for Invisalign treatment.
If treatment is right for you, we’ll take photos, X-rays and digital scans, or a dental impression, of your teeth. Then we’ll create you a digital treatment plan, using our state of the art technology, showing you what your results could look like via a 3D video.
We’ll give you a series of aligners to wear every day and change at home – on average every 1-2 weeks (as directed by your Dentist). You can comfortably wear your aligners for 22 hours a day (the recommended daily wear). And because they’re removable, it’s easy to maintain your normal oral hygiene routine and enjoy your usual diet.
We will monitor progress remotely with Dental Monitoring. At the end of your treatment, you will need to wear your retainers to maintain your new smile.
Dental monitoring allows us to manage your invisalign journey from the comfort of your own home.
With our Invisalign iTero Scanner we can digitally capture a detailed 3D model of your teeth and gums. Not only is this process far more comfortable than the old putty based impressions, but it's faster and can offer a superior clinical endpoint.
