A beautiful smile is generally defined by the following:
During a consultation with Dr Tinkler, a highly detailed and accurate mould of your teeth is taken, and this is fed into a computer. A highly accurate 3D virtual reality model of your teeth and mouth is generated. Dr Tinkler uses his experience to manipulate your teeth in virtual reality in order to achieve the ideal end result of the teeth alignment process.
This is a crucial stage of the treatment. Dr Tinkler applies all the techniques he has learnt and uses his vast experience to obtain a tailored and optimum treatment plan.
The computer is then able to generate intermediary stages, and the first set of invisible braces is manufactured. These slide over your teeth, applying a carefully gauged amount of pressure on your teeth to move them to the next stage.
You are encouraged to remove the braces for brushing, eating, flossing, but must wear them for up to 20 hours out of every 24 for the treatment to progress as planned.
During the first consultation Dr Tinkler will take digital scans of your teeth and send them, along with a set of precise instructions, to Invisalign®.
Invisalign® uses advanced 3-D computer imaging technology to transform your bite impressions into a custom-made series of clear and removable aligners. There may be as many as 48 in the series or as few as 12, depending on your specific treatment plan.
During the following visit you will receive your first set aligners. YYou will be given all your aligners and monitored remotely. Only returning to the practice if and when required.
You’ll wear each set of aligners every day and each night for a week, You will remove them to drink, eat, brush, and floss. Treatment time averages 6-12 months, but will vary from case to case. Book in with visits every six weeks to check that the treatment is going as planned.
At the end of the treatment you will have a set of aligned teeth just as you always dreamed of.
